Shipping and Delivery Policy

This Shipping and Delivery Policy explains how orders placed through https://bombayjewelleryhp.in are processed, dispatched and delivered by Bombay Jewellery and Cosmetics.

1. Delivery Area

We currently accept and deliver orders within India only.

Delivery remains subject to:

  • Courier serviceability at the destination PIN code;
  • Accessibility of the delivery address;
  • Local restrictions;
  • Availability of a suitable courier service; and
  • Circumstances outside our reasonable control.

We do not currently offer international delivery.

If the delivery location is not serviceable, we may ask the customer for an alternative serviceable address or cancel the affected order and refund the eligible prepaid amount.

2. Free Standard Shipping

We provide free standard shipping on eligible website orders delivered within India.

No standard forward-delivery charge will ordinarily be added to an eligible order.

Free shipping does not include:

  • COD charges;
  • Express or special delivery;
  • Return shipping for a customer-selected wrong size;
  • Customer-caused re-delivery;
  • Return-to-origin charges;
  • Re-shipping a refused or undelivered order;
  • Lifetime 50% Exchange transportation; or
  • Another separately disclosed service.

Free shipping has no cash value and cannot be exchanged for a discount or refund.

3. Cash on Delivery

Cash on Delivery is available for eligible orders at serviceable PIN codes.

COD availability may depend on:

  • Courier availability;
  • Delivery location;
  • Order value;
  • Product type;
  • Order verification;
  • Previous delivery history; and
  • Fraud-prevention checks.

Any applicable COD charge will be shown at checkout before the order is placed.

We may verify COD orders by telephone, SMS, email or WhatsApp before dispatch.

An unverified, duplicate or suspicious COD order may be held or cancelled.

4. Order Processing

An order may be processed after:

  • Successful payment confirmation for a prepaid order;
  • COD verification, where required;
  • Product-availability confirmation;
  • Delivery-address verification; and
  • Necessary security or fraud checks.

Orders placed on Sundays, public holidays or after normal working hours may begin processing on the next working day.

Processing may take longer during:

  • Festivals;
  • Promotional sales;
  • High-volume periods;
  • Public holidays;
  • Adverse weather;
  • Operational disruptions; or
  • Other exceptional circumstances.

5. Customized and Personalized Products

Customized or personalized jewellery may require additional preparation time.

The expected preparation or dispatch period may be:

  • Displayed on the product page;
  • Confirmed during order processing; or
  • Communicated directly to the customer.

The preparation period begins after all customization details and approvals have been received.

Customized products may therefore take longer than standard ready-to-ship products.

6. Estimated Delivery Time

Orders are ordinarily expected to be delivered within 2–7 business days, subject to processing, availability, courier serviceability and destination.

The stated period is an estimate and not a guaranteed delivery appointment unless a specific commitment is expressly provided in writing.

Business days generally exclude:

  • Sundays;
  • Public holidays;
  • Courier non-working days; and
  • Days on which delivery services are suspended in the relevant area.

Customized products and remote locations may require additional time.

7. Occasion-Based Purchases

Customers ordering for a wedding, festival, birthday or another fixed-date occasion should place the order sufficiently in advance.

We cannot guarantee delivery before a particular occasion unless the date has been expressly confirmed by us in writing.

A delayed event or cancelled occasion does not automatically make a delivered product returnable.

8. Courier Partners

Orders may be delivered through DTDC or another suitable courier or logistics provider.

The courier may be selected according to:

  • PIN-code serviceability;
  • Delivery location;
  • Product value;
  • Package dimensions;
  • Operational capacity; and
  • Delivery requirements.

We may share the customer’s name, address, phone number and necessary order information with the courier for delivery and related services.

9. Dispatch and Tracking

When tracking information becomes available, it may be communicated through:

  • Email;
  • SMS;
  • WhatsApp;
  • Customer account;
  • Website order-status page; or
  • Another contact method supplied by the customer.

Tracking may take some time to become active after the shipment is handed to the courier.

A delay in the first tracking update does not necessarily mean that the order has not been dispatched.

10. Customer Address Responsibility

The customer must provide:

  • Complete recipient name;
  • Correct phone number;
  • House, building, flat or shop number;
  • Street or locality;
  • Landmark, where necessary;
  • City and state;
  • Correct PIN code; and
  • Relevant delivery instructions.

We are not responsible for delays caused by incomplete, inaccurate or misleading delivery information supplied by the customer.

11. Address Changes

An address-change request must be submitted before dispatch through:

Email: vikasgupta@bombayjewelleryhp.in
Phone/WhatsApp: +91 78278 00726

An address change is confirmed only after it is accepted by us.

Once an order has been dispatched, we may be unable to change its destination.

A post-dispatch address change may be subject to:

  • Courier approval;
  • New PIN-code serviceability;
  • Additional shipping charges;
  • Shipment recall; and
  • Re-dispatch after return.

12. Delivery Attempts

The courier may contact the customer before or during delivery.

The customer or an authorized recipient should be available to:

  • Receive the parcel;
  • Provide reasonable directions;
  • Pay the COD amount;
  • Provide a delivery OTP; or
  • Complete another delivery-verification step.

The number and timing of delivery attempts depend on the courier’s operational policy.

13. Delivery to an Authorized Recipient

A parcel may be delivered to:

  • The customer;
  • A family member;
  • An employee;
  • Reception personnel;
  • Security personnel; or
  • Another person reasonably authorized at the delivery address.

Delivery to such a person may be treated as completed unless different instructions were accepted beforehand.

Customers should provide a delivery OTP only when the parcel is physically available for delivery.

14. COD Payment at Delivery

For a COD order, the complete amount shown as payable must be paid according to the courier’s procedure.

The customer should not pay an amount exceeding the confirmed payable amount without first contacting us.

The courier may support cash, UPI or another payment method. Availability of a particular payment method at delivery is not guaranteed.

15. Failed Delivery

Delivery may fail when:

  • The recipient is unavailable;
  • Courier calls are unanswered;
  • The address is incomplete or incorrect;
  • The customer refuses the parcel;
  • The COD amount is unavailable;
  • Required verification is not provided;
  • Entry to the address is restricted; or
  • The location cannot be accessed safely.

The customer should monitor tracking and respond promptly to delivery communications.

16. Refused or Undelivered COD Orders

If a customer refuses a valid COD shipment or otherwise causes delivery to fail, the order may be returned to us as Return to Origin (RTO).

Before the order is sent again, the customer may be required to pay:

  • Original COD charges;
  • Courier return-to-origin charges;
  • New shipping or re-delivery charges; and
  • The full product value in advance.

The exact payable amount will be communicated before re-dispatch.

Free shipping does not apply to re-shipment resulting from customer refusal, non-availability, incorrect address or another customer-caused delivery failure.

We may disable COD or decline re-dispatch where there is repeated refusal, suspected fraud or misuse.

17. Undelivered Prepaid Orders

If a prepaid order is returned because of customer refusal, non-availability, an incorrect address or another customer-caused reason, the customer may choose, subject to verification:

  • Re-shipment after paying the applicable costs; or
  • An eligible refund after deduction of actual disclosed return-to-origin or shipping charges.

No customer-caused charge will be deducted where delivery failed because of our verified error or the courier’s fault.

18. Delayed Delivery

Delivery may be delayed because of:

  • Adverse weather;
  • Flood, landslide or snowfall;
  • Natural disaster;
  • Public holiday;
  • Festival congestion;
  • Strike;
  • Transport disruption;
  • Government restriction;
  • Security concern;
  • Remote-location limitations;
  • Courier-network disruption;
  • Incorrect address;
  • Customer unavailability; or
  • Another circumstance outside reasonable control.

We will make reasonable efforts to assist the customer and coordinate with the courier.

A parcel is not automatically considered lost merely because it is delayed beyond the estimated delivery period.

19. Lost Shipments

If tracking does not update for an unusual period or a parcel appears lost, the customer should contact us with:

  • Order number;
  • Registered contact details;
  • Tracking number; and
  • Delivery address.

We may initiate an investigation with the courier.

If the shipment is confirmed lost, we may offer:

  • Replacement;
  • Re-shipment;
  • Refund to the original payment method; or
  • Another appropriate remedy.

The available remedy will depend on product availability, payment status and applicable law.

20. Damaged or Tampered Parcels

Customers should examine the outer parcel before accepting it.

If it appears visibly opened, torn, crushed, wet, resealed or tampered with, the customer should, where reasonably possible:

  1. Photograph or record the package;
  2. Inform the delivery representative;
  3. Note the condition in the delivery record;
  4. Refuse a seriously tampered parcel; and
  5. Contact us promptly.

If the parcel is accepted, the customer should record a clear and continuous video before opening it.

21. Damaged, Missing or Incorrect Products

A damaged, missing or incorrect-product claim must be reported within 48 hours after delivery.

The customer should provide:

  • Order number;
  • Clear photographs;
  • Shipping-label photograph;
  • Photograph of all contents;
  • Continuous unboxing video, where available;
  • Invoice or readable copy; and
  • Description of the problem.

The continuous unboxing video is preferred primary evidence, but every claim will be assessed according to its facts and available evidence.

This requirement does not remove a mandatory consumer remedy.

22. Delivery Shown as Completed but Not Received

If tracking shows “Delivered” but the parcel has not been received, the customer should:

  • Check with family members;
  • Check with neighbours;
  • Check with reception or security personnel;
  • Verify the delivery address;
  • Contact the courier, where appropriate; and
  • Contact us promptly.

The complaint should preferably be raised within 24 hours of the delivered tracking update so a timely courier investigation can be initiated.

23. Partial Shipments

An order containing multiple products may be divided into separate shipments.

In such cases:

  • More than one tracking number may be issued;
  • Products may arrive on different dates;
  • Receipt of one shipment does not mean remaining items are missing; and
  • No additional standard shipping charge will be imposed merely because we divided the order.

24. Order Consolidation

Separate orders are not automatically combined.

A request to combine orders must be made before dispatch and remains subject to:

  • Processing status;
  • Product availability;
  • Payment method;
  • Courier requirements; and
  • Operational feasibility.

25. Shipping Restrictions

Certain locations, products or orders may be restricted because of:

  • Courier policy;
  • Local law;
  • Safety requirements;
  • Product dimensions;
  • Declared value;
  • Fraud-prevention checks; or
  • Operational limitations.

If an order cannot reasonably or lawfully be shipped, we may cancel it and refund the eligible prepaid amount to the original payment method.

26. Cancellation Before Dispatch

An order may be cancelled only before dispatch, subject to the Cancellation Policy.

Once dispatched, it cannot be treated as a pre-dispatch cancellation.

Customized or personalized products may become non-cancellable when customization work begins.

27. Returns After Delivery

After delivery, an eligible problem must be handled under the Return, Exchange and Refund Policy.

Returns are not ordinarily accepted merely because the customer changes their mind or no longer likes the product.

Eligible claims may include damage, defect, incorrect product, missing product, material misdescription or an eligible size issue.

28. Refunds Arising From Shipping Issues

Where a refund is approved because of a lost shipment, unserviceable address, cancellation before dispatch or another eligible delivery issue, the refund will be issued to the original payment method wherever technically possible.

Where the original payment method cannot accept a reversal, we will contact the customer regarding a secure and lawful alternative.

Approved refunds will ordinarily be initiated within the period stated in the applicable Cancellation or Return and Refund Policy.

29. Payment and Refund Security

We will never require a customer’s:

  • OTP;
  • UPI PIN;
  • ATM PIN;
  • Card PIN;
  • CVV;
  • Internet-banking password; or
  • Complete card details

to locate a shipment or process a refund.

Customers should report suspicious delivery or refund communications immediately.

30. Customer Support

For shipping, tracking or delivery assistance, contact:

Email: vikasgupta@bombayjewelleryhp.in
Phone/WhatsApp: +91 78278 00726

Please provide:

  • Customer name;
  • Order number;
  • Registered phone number;
  • Tracking number; and
  • Description of the issue.

31. Consumer Rights

Nothing in this Policy excludes or limits a consumer right or remedy that cannot legally be excluded under Indian law.

This Policy does not remove our responsibility for an order that is lost, incorrectly supplied, materially different from its description or otherwise subject to a mandatory legal remedy.

32. Policy Changes

We may update this Policy to reflect courier, operational, legal or regulatory changes.

The revised version will be published with an updated date. Changes will apply prospectively and will not unfairly affect an order already accepted.
